The articles and tools on Dog Health Atlas are general information. They are not a diagnosis, not veterinary advice and not a substitute for examination by a veterinarian. Every dog is different, and no website can see your dog. If you are concerned about your dog’s health, contact your vet. If you think it is an emergency, contact a vet or an emergency clinic immediately. Do not rely on this site to decide that it is not.

Tools and estimates

Calculators produce estimates from published reference values. Products, amounts and individual dogs vary, so results can be wrong for your situation. Use them to understand urgency, never as a reason to delay calling a vet.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep pages accurate and current and correct errors when we find them, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete, correct or up to date. See how we research and check articles.
